I had already stopped talking about specials and was on to talking about other lynching prospects even before you came in to be shocked and appalled by my vicious cruelty. There was no reason to drop the hammer yet, hence my refusal to do it.

Besides, you don't know if the bandwagon would have reversed. Obviously Meg was ready to back out. What makes you so sure he would have been the only one? It's not like this is the first time we were a vote away from a lynch.
