Costs about $47,000, plus tax. It prints, quite literally, in three dimensions, up to 10"x14"x8"
Fascinating gadget. Works basically by printing layer upon layer, to build up a full 3D model.

I get the feeling it would make its money back after not too many products, actually.
You can also have an architect in place A printing in place B...

A number of years ago at Siggraph and the now defunct 3dExpo I watched a number of these things work, although they weren't as advanced as the one in the link (for example, they only produced models in single colors). In those cases the majority used a cornstarch based powder and an non-toxic 'glue', so while they probably wouldn't taste good, you could eat your models if you really wanted to. Somewhere around here I have a spinning ball baring wheel that I watched being made as a sample.
Other versions had more constraints but used different materials such as a hard-wax and even wood (in that case the model was split apart into pieces the machine could handle by the computer and then had to be glued together after it was out of the machine).
We've got one where I work. It builds some pretty cool stuff.
