I saw a show on HBO about how thoroughbreds that have stopped winning big purses get sold for Mexican slaughter straight from the track for like 300 bucks. It's cold as a motherfucker.

I wrote a proposal for hubby (woodworking) and his dad (commercial stuff) for a booth at a local festival. We had planned on it being mostly dad's stuff, and hubby would have less than half the booth. At the last minute, I threw in a line about my firestarters thinking I could put a few out if I felt like it. They called today and basically barred 90% of dad's commercial stuff, but were delighted at the woodworking and firestarters.
So now, I can't make just a few. I have to make a whole shitload.
someone mentioned girl scout cookies?
(my dealer has gone off to college... bitch)
nice
thin mints are good as a sandwich w/ a little peanut butter in between...mmm course I didn't get the chance to do that last night b/c someone inhaled them.
Crack is not far off the mark.
The recent Irish elections saw the devastation of the former government. The country's major party has been booted down to third, whilst the Green party (which, in polls, saw their level of support at a percentage which was within the poll's margin of error, theoretically they could have had 0% support) saw itself completely removed from the Dail, losing every seat they had.
The replacements, mainly Fine Gael and Labour have started showing up for work. This TD (MP) for FG was nice enough to have banners with her face and name all over the car, for the cameras as she demonstrated her driving skills at the government buildings...

LOL, yesterday I thought I was listening to BBC World Service on the car radio, but it turned out it was Al Jazeera English. (Houston has a Pacifica station for some unknown reason.)
NEW YORK—In an effort to provide viewers with an authentic, first-person account of conditions on the ground in Libya, CNN news anchor Kyra Phillips conducted an exclusive, one-on-one interview Tuesday with the Al Jazeera news anchor who interviewed leaders of the uprising. "What can you tell us about what they told you about what the situation is like for them right now?" asked Phillips, going directly to the source of the Arab news network's extensive on-air discussions with key figures in the rebellion. "'This fight for freedom has come at a great cost to you,' is what I imagine you said to them, correct?"
I was going to make a submission to the Veolia Environnement Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, but the images I wanted to send are over 3 years old.
Oh well... I guess I need to get off my ass and do some more wildlife photography. Sigh.
