I've heard good things, but I'm scared to check it out. I heard there was some kind of violent thing.
I heard that too. And just a few episodes in, it seems to be dark humor. I haven’t gotten to any violent scenes, but you definitely get the impression the stalker is crazy.
I also heard it’s based on real events, namely the author and lead actor. So that’s intriguing.

I watched the first two episodes of "Fallout" - the Amazon series based on the games.
I enjoyed it, but wouldn't call it great. The look is excellent, the dark humour is in the right ballpark but often didn't quite land for me, and the pathos that should have hit harder somehow didn't. Not quite sure if it's to do with the writing or the pacing or something else. Possibly they just tried to put too much in - neither the Good, Bad & Ugly style MacGuffin hunt nor the character backstories have enough room.

Ive watched some of it. No violence yet, lots of dark comedy and awkward situations which I find harder to watch than violence.

The pace is pretty frenetic.
I enjoyed the dark humor, but I often knew it was coming which made it sort of safe and less funny.
I think they put aesthetics or looking cool over plot and character and anything approaching realism kind of leaning in to the video game roots.
So a razor blade mangles a foot.
A mutated bear takes the dude in power armor and then dies easily.
The ghoul has a prolonged fight with an undertrained dude in power armor, but then later murders a whole mess of highly trained dudes in the same armor.
The way atoms work is like the game as well.
Im a big Walton Goggins fan, and he was pretty great.
I’m down for more, maybe they will go a bit slower or deeper into the story next season.

I’ve just watched the first episode.
How far into it are you?
It was going good but took a weird, serious turn which I could not get into. I think I got to episode 6 but can't bring myself to watch further, why I do not know.
