It doesn't seem to exactly be a reboot from the beginning. I bought the first Swamp Thing and Animal Man issues and both have their histories more or less intact. Swamp Thing is back to being Alec Holland, but he remembers having been Swamp Thing, which is a seriously weird way to go.
Also, I hate the art on the new Swamp Thing. There's a guest appearance by Superman with the most ridiculously huge jowls. I have no idea what they were trying to do there. I remember my first exposure to Swamp Thing with the TPB of Alan Moore's first story arc. There's a Justice League crossover in that and the brief glimpse of Wonder Woman is the most beautiful I have ever seen her look. I can't help comparing the two cameos and shaking my head at the new one. Also our one glimpse of Swamp Thing is back to the smoother, less detailed version from the earlier comics and just looks lazy to me.

I've never liked Waller, just for the "end justifies..." government angle. There's way too much of that in the real world. However, I did like it when she squished Spy Smasher. This current thing is pretty lame though.
I just hope they go ahead and release the remainder of Secret Six as a trade and not cancel that like some other collections have been.

The new season of season of Young Justice has started, Mr. Bort.
I really dig the Red Arrow/ Speedy. Plus, also, Ra's al-Ghul joining evil forces with Lex Luger makes me think this series is only going to get better from here.
By lucky happenstance I read that last night was the season opener. Nobody else was talking about it anywheres! I forgotted how much I enjoyed the dynamic between MM and Connor. I commented to myself that it's the same kind of thing as Starfire and Robin from Teen Titans.
AND DID YOU CATCH THAT HOLY SHIT MERCY IS AN ANDROID MOMENT! I STOOD UP AND HOLLERED HOLY SHIT!
This. A billionty times. It would be the second greatest of all possible things.

I have the perfect title image with which to tell you that Lauren Faust, the creator of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic may have been tapped to make a series of animated shorts about the joint adventures of Batgirl, Supergirl, and Wonder Girl.
Since this thread is for all things DC, I thought I'd share something. I was just watching Young Justice on Cartoon Network when a bit of dialogue was spoken that surprised me. In the latest episode the heroes were disarmed and Artemis mentions feeling naked without her weapon and not in the fun way. That had me gobsmacked for a moment.

Under no circumstances should Quentin Tarantino be allowed to befoul Star Trek.
I just watched Young Justice and loved it. I was worried that this show would be all Justice League, Jr and not involve the greater DC Universe. I am so glad to be proven wrong.
This episode was chock-full of cameos and more cameos. The worldwide battle reminded me of the last episode of Justice League Unlimited. And that battle between Young Justice and the Injustice League was epic. It was a fierce fight and kept me at the edge of my seat.
But, there was one cameo that brought a tear to my eye. At first, I wasn't sure that I'd actually seen them and had to rewind and pause to be sure. But, I was right, there they were.
Why this touch me so much? Not only because they are awesome heroes, who are undeservedly unrecognized. No, I got emotional because of Dwayne McDuffie, their creator. He had died earlier this year due to complications from heart surgery.
He also was one of the creators of the Milestone Universe, a too-short-lived family of titles from the DC Universe. Yes, they were "minority" heroes and that was the gimmick, but more importantly they were really well-created characters.
McDuffie was also an instrumental part of the Justice League Unlimited, the highly regarded DC animated series before Young Justice. I saw this cameo as a nod towards him for his work.

So, I forgot to mention when I talked about the latest episode of Young Justice that we saw Rocket make another cameo. I watched this right after watching Justice League: Doom, which had a nice tribute to Dwayne McDuffie.
Alright, so you all know that I love Bruce Timm's work, but I've no faith in the new Green Lantern animated series. I'm not a big fan of that CGI "3D" look.
