Scented Candles
I love scented candles, and candlelight in general.
Right now I am burning a Pumpkin Pie scented one in my office area... and a cranberry/cherry in my living room.
Candlelight makes a room so warm and cozy looking and the scents really combat stale air with the windows not opening as much this time of year. What scents do you like? whats brands do you buy and what style..?

Re: Scented Candles
Me too, me too! I am partial to florals (jasmine, tuberose, gardenia) and lavender. I use candles in any format EXCEPT TAPERS. I have no idea what I have against them, but you'll not find any in my possession. Pillars or candles in tins or jars are my primary choices (tins are great -- travel candles!). I'm not loyal to any particular one brand, although if I was rich, I'm sure I'd be voting Diptyque all the way. Right now, I'm good with Yankee Candle and Glade products.

Re: Scented Candles
I like Yankee Candles. My favorites are the vanilla or cookie flavored ones. They make your house smell like you are baking, but then they have no calories. Yay!

Re: Scented Candles
I like scented candles as well. However, I bought a couple "Angelfood Cake" scented ones last week and upon burning them, my SO suddenly decided that we HAD TO HAVE chocolate cake, and now.
So I figure that any way you slice it, food-scented candles will be bad for my waistline.

Re: Scented Candles
I love the ones made by air freshener companies (my mind is currently blank, I know one at least is by Glade).
My favorite is a winter smell candle, three layers of different christmas type smells
The others are a range that come in decorated glasses, and a range of sents.
The thing with these is that when they burn you can actually smell them, I'm very sceptical nowadays about scented candles, a lot smell nice whilst not lit but have very little scent when burning.

Re: Scented Candles
I once saw these candles in the store that were scented like candle-scented aerosol air freshener.
I think that was, like, postmodern or something.

Re: Scented Candles
Postmortem?
I read a scientific study the proved a combination of lavendar and pumpkin pie scents produced the greatest increase of blood flow to the penis. Light 'em up, ladies.

Re: Scented Candles
I can't burn candles because I would end up burning my house down. I do have one of those electric heat liquid potpourri things though, which is fairly safe (I hope).
I like the fruity scents and the baking scents equally well.

Re: Scented Candles
I love candles but avoid most scented products. If I so much as walk by an aisle with scented candles in a store, my sinuses lock up tight.
Jasmine is a nice scent though. In times past I've used it as incense.

[incense derail]
My incense of choice at the mo is Nag Champa. I'm burning about 2 sticks a night and it has totally inspired me to redecorate my bedroom with an Indian theme.

Re: Scented Candles
I want incense that smells like burning leaves. That smell always makes me think of wonderful Autumn days in childhood.
Oh, the air freshener hanging from my rear view mirror is pumpkin scented.

Who would want to eat dinner with a scented candle smelling things up?

Re: Scented Candles
You don't use scented candles at the dinner table. Not if you know what you're doing, anyway.

Then why did you bring up dinners?
P.S. find yourself the real thing in stead of getting hypnotized by phallic symbols.
