Hey frogalicious! It ain't easy, but I'm slowly starting to adjust to not getting used to it. It's actually not so bad until you start trying to DO stuff outside.* Then the humidifery becomes a little too real.
It's actually not as hot as Ft. Worth, apparently (94 has been tops so far), because we've been hit by lots of thunderstorms. But it's even more humid, so the heat index gives you more hell for your buck.
*--and, as we all know, doin' stuff sucks.

I didn't even get through half of it! There's so much more to see - including the Japanese Garden, which by the time I wandered over that way, I'd completely wilted! There were gorgeous dragonflies there; I'd never seen black/white ones, nor red before. Butterflies were everywhere too. *wants to go back, but when it's cool*

That's the downside of having an actual lawn - now you have to do stuff outside. Remember you cussing the roses? At least the environs are all-around better for you & Co. now. Hold onto that and a huge bottle of water - you'll be okay!
for a few minutes anyway...

I'm actually slow getting to posting my pics - I was there the 8th-10th. The infection hit 2 days later, and has made me miserable. Damn planes.

Lees is sounding way too happy about this 'business' trip. I think I will have to go along and chaperone.

Re: Member News Discussion
Well, I survived the road trip from hell. Marriage is still intact, sanity is questionable. Actually it wasn't all that bad, but I am very tired of riding in the car and sleeping in a different bed each night. Now I have to get busy and catch up on all the cool stuff I missed here while I was away. I didn't have very many opportunities to log on and when I did have the opportunity I was ususally to beat to take advantage of it. Turns out we have lousy timing or judgement when it comes to motel shopping. The night we stayed in Salt Lake City we were lucky to even get a room. Both the Rotarians and the Jehovah's Witnesses were having conventions there at the same time. The night we intended to stay in Santa Rosa, Calif. there was some big NASCAR race at Sears Point/Infineon Raceway. We ended up paying way too much for a room at a Budget Inn in Rohnert Park. Anyway, all is well that ends well and I made it home safe and reasonably sound.
