Cubb.ies and Diaspora conspire to ruin my :ff: experience.

I joined Diaspora a few days ago and signed up for their photo upload/download partner site Cubb.ies. The problem comes when I quote a post and reply to it. I get a heap of text under my post surrounded by img tags. Do I have to disable Cubb.ie to continue to enjoy this fine place or is there a simpler solution?

Uhh... I have no idea. Does Cubb.ie have an explanation for why they slap horseshit into every form you load? Because that sounds like a pretty horrible practice to me.

Sorry it's Cubbi.es. No, no explanation. I just opened a complaint thingy with them. It's a handy feature. You hold shift down when you're on a page and click the pic you want. It then uploads to Cubbies where you can later download it to Diaspora. Annoying side effect though.

From what I understand it's not just here; you'll have that issue on other sites too. Diasporans have been complaining about it since at least May of this year but there doesn't appear to be an open bug report in their system. If you want you can go here and open one.
