Finally a band I like has tackled the modern sound of popular music today and in doing so did an outstanding job. Really doesn't sound like their older stuff...

I keep thinking that there's a Wire song that either includes the name* of Watser?'s town in the chorus or else something that sounds very close to it. Can't seem to figure out which one it is though.
*based on my probably inaccurate idea of what it sounds like...

No. I think it was one of their more punk songs. I listened to all of Pink Flag, Chairs Missing and most of 154 today but haven't heard it. Maybe it was another band I'm thinking of? Still, I listened to some good music.
