Obscure games you've never heard of, and you can DONG them.
Do Online Now Guys. (What did you think DONG meant?)
As a gamer I'm always fascinated with ways in which video games can push the mold, make one think or experience something differently. While there are plenty of fun games where the goal is to shoot all the bad guys or get the highest score, many of the games in this thread are about the experience had while playing them or the new perspective they bring.
No seriously, play it, it's only a couple minutes long.
Ok! The game itself is simplistic and pretty linear but the interactive medium means that everyone has a slightly different experience. Perhaps you blew right through just holding up, or approached each group, or tried to back track or approach groups in a different way or said screw it and stopped approaching them, only to make a few final attempts before the screen went black. Even something so simple to be considered a non-game has a variety of experiences bundled up in it due to the player having agency. This is why I hate 'quick time events' (Press A now or die!) they remove the players agency and turn a game into a movie with a box that occassionally pops up with "are you still paying attention?" in it.
Most of these games are short.
Loved
Manipulative platformer.
(Note the character timing can take some getting used to).
Music In Motion
Platformer that integrates music and beat with how the level forms.
The Company of Myself
Platformer integrating storytelling with an interesting mechanic.
Spin the Black Circle
An older puzzle game where you control the maze instead of the ball.
4-Differences
A beautiful and photo surreal animated spot the differences game.
(It gets bonus points from me as it's not always possible to cross-eye 'cheat' like most spot the difference images.)
