Dead fish to power cruise ships | Environment | The Guardian

Read amusing headline, then read srs article. Waste fish parts from food processing will be converted to biogas and used to power cruise liners belonging to Norwegian company Hurtigruten.

For a moment, I parsed "biogas" as a plural noun. Sounds like a kaiju. "Your amoral renewable-resource science has gone too far! Now how will we stop Bioga?"

I don't know the second thing either. The Matrix? I'm guessing based on the round sunglasses I've seen on Matrix artwork.

"Obliviate" is the spell in Harry Potter which erases memories, like the "flashie thing" device they use on MiB.

Those things in the MIB3 poster are guns though, not flashy things. :glare: I suppose wands are combination flashy thing/gun - but when the spell is "Obliviate!" then they ARE flashy things! :glare:

They've not gotten around to animating all 507 of them yet - so many of the 507 are just in the original drawing form they had in the book. (Book was written/drawn in 1868).

In this nearly 15 yr. old post I mention having met a couple old pool players named Cornbread Red and Horseface Harry in the late 70's. At the time I wasn't completely sure I hadn't misremembered that story since I never met anyone else who had heard those names. Thanks to modern Goognology, I have found supporting evidence.

Billy Joe Burge (aka Cornbread Red) has his own Wikipedia page, and a couple random forums around the net (e.g. Horseface Harry - OnePocket.org Forums) indicate that he had a friend named Harry Aporff (aka Horseface Harry). It appears Cornbread Red died a few months prior to my original post, and Horseface Harry about 6 yrs. later.

As mentioned in the previous post, my Dad was a regular at a pool hall called "Cozy Cue" in Dearborn. The owner let us in one day when Horseface and Cornbread were having a private, high-stakes match at a table in the back of the otherwise dark and empty building. I don't have a lot of memories from my pre-teen years, but being allowed into a "closed" pool hall and meeting a couple hustlers named Cornbread Red and Horseface Harry stuck out.

A word in this post triggered a suspicion (of a kind which apparently I'm noted for). And so it came to pass - with a twist...

This incredible offer from Screwfix is probably only available for shipment within the UK, but I can order a stack and save them for you if you want.

LOL the recycling plant is on fire again. This is at least the third time this year.

It's in a nice visible location for everyone just leaving the airport, too.

Me: Alexa, how many words are in a page?

Alexa: "A page" is usually written as two words.
