Default APS hosts online debate on global warming

APS Physics | FPS | Climate Sensitivity Reconsidered

APS Physics | FPS | A Tutorial on the Basic Physics of Climate Change

Since Hafemeister et al accept a premise (observed global temp increase) not accepted by Monckton, they're pretty much talking past each other, but it's a start.

Contemporaneously, Roy Spencer's just-released testimony before the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee seems to support Monckton's argument wrt climate sensitivity.

Just out of curiosity, yguy, do you accept as likely that graph of Monckton's showing 600 million years of global temperatures?

600 million years of global temperatures?????
It has to be non-sense. The Earth is no more than 10 thousand years old!

I have no way of knowing. I don't think anyone does, but such agnosticism on that point seems not to be accepted by the scientific community. The only thing I consider likely about it is that it's representative of work done by scientists according to their best understanding.

I would love to know what the real explanation for the melting glaciers is!
