Default Carnivorous Primates

Off the top of my head, I cannot think of any. Excluding humans, that is.

So are there any, or are they all herbivores?

The things that trouble me while do the dishes...

I always see pictures of monkeys digging insects out of the ground with sticks. At the very least, that has to make them omnivores, right?

I believe chimpanzees have been observed to hunt and eat small animals.

Yes, chimps hunt other animals, including monkeys.

Orang-utans eat insects and occasionally eggs or small vertebrates.

Most primates, including gorillas, will eat a few termites and ants given the chance.

Chimps have been known to eat human babies. I'd call that carnivorous. :yup:

Wouldn't humans be more adequately labeled as omnivorous?
