Default More bad news for appeasers.

From AP:

PESHAWAR, Pakistan — One of Al Qaida's top five leaders, said to be responsible for planning overseas strikes, was killed by Pakistani security forces in a rocket attack near the Afghan border with U.S. help, American and Pakistani officials said Saturday.

Hamza Rabia, a key associate of Al Qaida No. 2 Ayman al-Zawahri, died Thursday in an explosion in the North Waziristan tribal area, and his remains were identified in DNA tests, Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said.

Why is this bad news for "appeasers"?

I don't recall ever saying that I think the Al Qaeda people were wonderful human beings who should be left alone...

Obviously, I would prefer that they be taken in alive and tried for their crimes, but that's not always possible in law enforcement.

It's bad news for appeasers (most of the activists in the defeatocrat party) because they WANT defeat.

First, the liberal mindset: The central focus of almost all liberals is political power. It's to them what air, food, and water is for everyone else. It's what islam is for a devout moslem. They want political power more than anything, That they've lost a lot of it on the national level in the last 10 years is more than infuriating, it's to them as if there were a giant warp in the cosmos - they are supposed to be in charge, what the devil has happened? How did all that trailer trash steal their birthright from them?

In order to get it back, they will say anything negative about the war, demoralize the troops, say everything is the fault of the U.S., just to get at Bush politically and prove they were "right". (Likewise with the tsunami of illegal immigration, they'll do nothing to stop it because they see illegals as potential democrat voters.) They don't care at all if they destroy the U.S. in their efforts to get power. Therefore when significant progress is made, it's a defeat for them.

"In order to get it back, they will say anything negative about the war,"

Can you explain what the killing of an Al Qaida terrorist in Pakistan by Pakistani security forces has to do with the War in Iraq?

Also utterly false.

Could you at least offer an explanation? I am curious as well.

I agree, if you are going to whine about people not debating you, at least give a reasonable reply instead of your usual crap. Or should we expect no better?

He rarely actually debates, and when he does, the other person usually mops the floor with him.

No - he normally responds to posts like this one instead of responding to ones with more substantial points. He'll probably respond to this one by calling me a "pussy".

Yeah, he just likes to whine about how no one debates him or how he stomps people in debate, but not actually do the debate, it makes it easier to pretend I guess.

I think the prediction of pussy as a response is a good one, maybe islamofacist pussy.

Everything has to do with the War On Terror. I was at a party a couple of weeks ago and had a few hits off a spliff. Next thing you know, some Arab blew himself up in a Toyota Corolla. That'll teach me not to support the terrorists.

I'm still a bit confused here. How does an emoticon for "roll on floor laugh my ass off" provide evidence of a link between an al Qeada member killed in Pakistan and the war of insurgency in Iraq? Perhaps it is me, but but I fail to see the connection.

Shame really, it's not his fault.

I must admit the geometric pattern of quotes created in your refusal to support your assertion is aesthetically pleasing. I assume you have no evidence of connection and that the patterns of the quoted text soothe your mind. I will continue to participate in quieting the voices if you wish. If you do wish to continue the construction of your happy place please respond in the same manner as before.

Since alphamale is busy pasting smiley after smiley, I will field this on his behalf.

Since the Bush war "plan" failed to include any provisions for securing Iraq and its borders, Iraq has become a haven for al Qaeda operatives. It wasn't before, of course, but now it is. The US invasion and occupation of Iraq is also an unbelievably valuable propaganda and recruitment tool for al Qaeda. So as a result of US operations in Iraq, the US and its allies are more vulnerable to attacks by al Qaeda. Plus, since the American military is severely bogged down in Iraq, the US has fewer resources to go after al Qaeda. Like that one guy...what was his name? Osama bin something? Hence the connection.
