Because there are no known atheists in our government. And anyway, conservative Christians have taken a big part in politics even if they aren't specifically a political party. Hezbollah is a religious based political party-you cannot separate the two.

But, I would also argue that you cannot hold all atheists responsible for the actions of atheist extremists.

So what? First off, you have no evidence that Hezbollah is split into two factions, one being a group of lunatic extremists and the rest being a group of fair minded politicians.

And you have no evidence that they don't. It stands to reason since every other large group of people I have ever heard of has an extremist fringe and/or factions...why would Hezbollah be different?

Has anyone from Hamas or Hezbollah denounced the respective actions of the "extremist wings" you claim they have?

Both Hezbollah and Hamas have condemned brutal actions in the past, like the beheading of Nick Berg in Iraq

They don't sound like they condone extremism.

The Democrats are currently the minority in the US. If they went off the deep end and kidnapped a bunch of Canadians (to use the analogy already in play), would you say that the US wasn't responsible or that we shouldn't expect a response from the US government?

"The Democrats" you mean ALL of them? Or do you mean some nuts who happened to be registered as Democrats or claim to be acting on behalf of the Democratic party or what exactly are you talking about.? Talk about a nonsense comparison!!

Not all members of Hezbollah are in the government, some are just regular citizens.
