Re: A Revolution in Thought: Part Two
For all those naysayers, I see things everyday that prove Lessans is right. You can balk all you want that this is not proof, but I will tell you that one day your words of disrespect and disregard will come back to haunt every one of you.

Oh good grief PG, you are not sinking more money into this are you? You've already sunk the bones of 40K into this, and you won't see a penny of it back. Unless you are spending nothing but your own effort, please don't do it. And especially do not borrow the money to do it, whatever you do!
|
I'm not borrowing money. That's why it's such a slow process. I have to save save save.
|
Thats something at least, although it would be a pity to throw your savings away on this.

Where in the world does this have to do with vengence LadyShea? Yes, I am frustrated with this forum, and, yes, I can honestly say that there will come a time when people who condemned him will at first be shocked that he was right, and then have remorse (if it's within our lifetime), but this is not about vengence. I'm not trying to get back at anyone, although I must admit it would be nice to see Lessans' vindicated.

These words come from a desire for vengeance. People not fantasizing about revenge do not make predictions like that.

There's nothing more important, other than the mundane things that need to get done (such as getting my roof repaired before it collapes, or getting my occasional cup of coffee at Starbucks), than getting this knowledge brought to light.

Not at all. The truth of the matter is that there is karma (not necessarily in the religious context) meaning that everything we say and do does come back to us in one way or another. If people said horrible things about Lessans, they will feel remorse for having condemned him. There is nothing I can do to change that.

I predict you will achieve nothing, except that you will make some marketing people a bit richer and that you will get a lot of ridicule. The problem is that the material makes no sense, that it is poorly written and that it has no appeal. In the world of quasi-spiritual and self-help publishing you are generally ok if only 2 out of 3 of these things are true about your book, but nowhere is it OK to have all three wrong. No amount of marketing can ever fix that. Please get the roof fixed first, whatever you do, and look after yourself.

Peacegirl, do you seriously want your grandchildren to have sex with the first person they think they like and be stuck with them for the rest of their lives? I made myself a promise that I was going to be around to help change my grandaughters childs diaper, but I'm not in a hurry. I want her to have the time and ability to make a good choice in the man she marries, not the first one that comes along.

Those were both good albums, I didn't see the movie Godspell, and I still prefer the production of Superstar that I saw when they first went on tour.
Have you read the books by David Gregory, 'The Perfect Stranger' and 'Another Perfect Stranger'? They were also made into movies of the same names with Jefferson Moore as Jesus. I liked one of the lines in the 2nd movie where Jesus had spoken to a couple across the isle of the airplane in their own middle eastern language, and later helped a woman with her luggage and spoke to her in a language from south-east asia. The other character asked him "How many languages do you speak?" to which he answered "All of them." The girl said "You can't know all languages." and he answered "I've had a lot of time to work on it." Jefferson Moore then followed these movies with one he developed from this idea and wrote 'The Perfect Gift'. At the top of the case it reads "What If The World Threw You A Birthday Party And You Weren't Invited?"

I'll bet that he would miss 'Banging his head against a wall' if he would just stop.

Obviously, you didn't understand the first thing about this chapter. Yes, I would love my grandchildren to marry their first love rather than going through the typical dating scene where someone always gets hurt and ends up emotionally damaged.

The problem is I do understand the book, and I understand how relationships work, first impressions are not always accurate. Sometimes a first impression covers up the fact that the person should be locked up in a ' Loonie Tunes' cartoon.

Words and actions have natural and/or logical consequences based on cause and effect, that is nothing resembling karma or "everything we say comes back to us".

Making announcements like this while you continue to argue points makes you look like an idiot.
You lasted 20 or so days, peacegirl. Just leave again and try to stay away unless you are willing to engage all the challenges you left dangling. We don't need to know your editorial processes.

The only way that would ever happen is if you hunted down everyone who has read Lessans dreck and threatened them with death.

Exactly. Lessans biggest problem was not his prose (although it sucked), it was that his stuff has not withstood the test of time. As more is learned the more idiotic he looks. And his lack of evidence and a lack of any kind of cogent argument, along with all the personal stuff doesn't help either. That sillyness only impresses peacegirl. She doesn't understand that you can't create a global cult of personality from ignorance and failure. We all can't be Lessans children.

This knowledge is being unfairly criticized, especially when no one has studied the principles or even knows what the actual discovery is.
