Re: The Make Something Every Week Contest
I just made a huge batch of dog food! (This batch is chicken breasts, chicken livers, brown rice, broccoli, and a couple handsful of other vegetables.)
Sometimes, I'll spend a whole bunch of time in the kitchen doing foundational cooking, like making chicken stock and things like that, so I'll do all this cooking and then I'm like "LOL surprise! No dinner! Go get me a burrito!"
That's pretty hilarious, but this is even better, because not only is there nothing for humangs to eat for dinner, but the house is really stinky to boot. Smells like fresh-cooked dog food.
The dogs really really like it, though, and it's cutting down on our ridiculously huge pet food bills, so

MORE FOUNDATIONAL COOKING.
This week: Cold cream,* dog cookies, 21 pints of chicken stock, herb blends, and salad dressing.* Plus I did some maintenance sporganizin', just refilling jars and moving stuff around.
My conscience and my schedule are now clear for PARTYING.
* It's all I ever do anymore. I just emulsify things day in and day out.

And what, simply blend it all together? You can't just give us the list of ingredients.

Did you use a mexican cocoa powder that already had sugar and vanilla in it, a free trade dark chocolate candy bar (88% cacao!) instead of choccy chips, an egg that was laid this morning, and milk and ice cream from a local dairy?
I thought not!

Hubby made a very primitive loom. I don't know why really, but it actually works and I have a placemat being produced for me.
