Shock news: Ian Fleming was a homophobe who thought that his lesbian character, Pussy Galore, had a "psycho-sexual malady" which could be cured by forced sex with James Bond.

Now, if Goldfinger had been the spy novel version of Rubyfruit Jungle, then perhaps this would be newsworthy, but it becomes less so when you recall that this is exactly how he wrote their encounter. It's like reading a news article which reveals that Charles Dickens really hated the New Poor Law or that Thomas Paine thought that throwing off the colonialist yoke was an excellent idea.
