Ever since the NYT took over the game, if there is a choice between a work with a good connotation or a bad/neutral connotation, it seems the good connotation is more likely. This works counter to my nature, and it's sometimes annoying.

Hmmm, I'm not seeing that. I am a subscriber to the Times, but They tell me that they want another 5 bucks a week(and that's a "Special price") to sign up for the games.
