Re: Some Famous Vegetarians
Yes, but there's no point to including nobodies on the list - first of all, you could just be making them up, secondly, they don't give us much information about their profession, and thirdly, nobody on here disputes the fact that many non-famous people are vegetarians. In fact, nobody was disputing anything about vegetarians.
Except when I was saying that vegetarians tend to be left-leaning... i.e. that "speciesists" are more likely to be right-wingers than the other way around. But that's all I really say about them - they certainly can be from all walks of life and so forth. Although I would imagine that less of them would be chicken farmers, or butchers, etc. and other such obvious things. A tendency cannot be disproven by simply listing some people who don't follow the pattern however.
And I think if you cut down that list to only include people who were "right-wing" it would demonstrate that quite easily. But of course, not all of the people on their are politically active, so for comparison you could make a list of left-wingers too.
I'll help you: Moby, Alice Walker, Cesar Chavez, John Lennon, Albert Einstein, Ian McKellan and Chelsea Clinton are not your friends.
Now chop chop, hop to it.
