I know that plenty of you don't consider white chocolate to be real chocolate.
I quite like the substance known as white chocolate, but I don't think of it as chocolate. I like caramel, marshmallow, and the fondant centre of Cadbury's Creme Eggs*, so why not other gooey sweet stuff?
However, Sandra Boynton has the final word on white chocolate in her definitive book Chocolate: The Consuming Passion (buy it now before I end up quoting all of it). I was going to scan it but it will be easy enough to type out. Print out the following for the right effect.
Quote:
It is a simple matter to identify a superior quality white chocolate. It has an ivory colour like this:
I don't understand, MonCap. You're happy because the poll is private and then you tell us your answer anyway.
Ahh. I see you are confused by the apparent inconsistency in my comments. I think I need to explain a little so that you can understand me better. I think polls should be private because the answers of the respondents should not be available by default. It should be up to the respondent to choose to reveal their vote if that is their wish. The only person who should be able to determine whether a vote is public knowledge or not is the person doing the voting.

Dark chocolate is the only chocolate I can eat. The other two make me yak because I ate entirely too much of it when I was a kid to the point it made me sick one day. Hence, dark is my favorite.
