his name is feingold and he fucking rocks, says he is going to intorduce a measure to censure shrub today.

Feingold said revising the law isn't enough.

"What I'm interested in is my colleagues acknowledging that we as a Congress have to stand up to a president who acts as if the Bill of Rights and the Constitution were repealed on September 11," he said. "We didn't enact martial law on September 11. We still have a constitutional form of government, and if the Congress of the United States does not stand up for that authority at this point, it will be an historic failure of our system of government."

I think it's an exercise in futility; Republicons are never going to vote to censure or impeach Bush.

oh i agree, but it is important to make a stand, also with bush's declining job approval every republican that votes to not censure him runs the risk of getting pounded for it next election.

I say make 'em vote on it and publicize that vote, including who voted what.

Then somebody needs to make it ever so clear who needs to be replaced for that censure, or bill of impeachment, have the necessary effect.

Publicize that, too.

I fully support the measure to censure Shrub. Hopefully, it will get enough steam that it can be used as a campaign issue. Whether it is political grandstanding or not; I happen to think censuring Shrub at minimum is the right thing to do.
