Comedy The Decider?

Just watched a clip from the Daily Show with Robin Williams. Funny stuff.
http://www.comedycentral.com/shows/t...nt/index.jhtml

But what's all this "The Decider" stuff? I get that Bush called himself that at some recent stage, but why, where, how, and all that good gossipy schadenfreude fun! :D

That was a funny clip. :D

I hadn't heard of the decider stuff either, but I found this article.
Pressed to respond to critics who say he is ignoring the advice of respected former military commanders, Bush vigorously stood by Rumsfeld.

"I listen to all voices, but mine is the final decision," he said. "And Don Rumsfeld is doing a fine job. He's not only transforming the military, he's fighting a war on terror. He's helping us fight a war on terror. I have strong confidence in Don Rumsfeld.

"I hear the voices, and I read the front page, and I know the speculation. But I'm the decider, and I decide what is best. And what's best is for Don Rumsfeld to remain as the secretary of defense."
Frankly I would've jumped on the hearing voices bit m'self, but to each his own. :giggle:

Yep. I watched this and just shook my head at the screen. I love that we have such an arrogant oaf in office. I also just love how many of the now Bush haters had voted for him in the last election, because of morality. I was duped like that once, I corrected things with my last vote.

The Daily Show got quite a lot of play with "The Decider" all last week. They even created a "Decider" superhero cartoon. :yup:

Dang, I wish Comedy Central weren't so commercial-ridden. I'm missing some really good programming. (Yeah-yeah, I know, the Internets, the DVR ... But still.)
