That is just so many shades of wrong! Tell me, was your mom coddled in the ways of housekeeping when she was a child?

I ask because it's my running theory. My mom says she didn't make my sister and me do more around the house because, as the oldest of eleven, she worked her butt off from an early age. She swore we wouldn't have the same childhood she did. Meanwhile, I was so spoiled that I made sure Daughter would have more responsibilities growing up than I did.

Then there's my paternal aunt. She made my cousins work hard, they hardly ever had time to play with us. I'm told my grandmother let her laze around when she was a child, so ... :think:

Anyway ... that's me thinking out loud. And stuff.
