I often find that the people who think they are "telling it like it is" are almost always among those who are the most easily hurt and/or offended by others "telling it like it is". In my experience, anyway.

When somebody is talking to you, and you want to ignore them, you can either let your mind wander while giving eye contact and nodding periodically, or you can put your fingers in your ears and shout repeatedly, "I can't hear you! I can't hear you!"

The former is generally more civil than the latter, although, as vm points out, it may occasionally be even politer to say, "I'm not listening to anything you say right now."

I'm really starting to bug myself.

For one thing, I'm constantly following myself around. Where ever I go, I can't get away from me. I'm always here! I want to be elsewhere!

funny...Shelli just came in this thread telling me she ignores me. you have no idea ever what i am saying...red herring? i think not...people tell me they are ignoring me and have encouraged others to do the same, but you read it however you want...seems to give you lots to write about.

You are without a doubt quite exasperating; like some passive-aggressive whiny little boy who thrives on negative attention, and feels it somehow makes him stronger or less lame. Like there's martyrdom in being a pot-headed, muddle-brained, supercilious pariah or something! You're fucking juvenile in the extreme. Big noise, small signal.
