This morning, I packed my new glider (pic below) and a couple of others in my car and drove two hours to a suitable hill site to flight test it.
But when I got there it was rather too windy. I chucked the glider a few times but it kept getting blown back over my head. Then the rain began.

Still, I'd done enough to prove that the glider does fly - I'll try again when the weather improves.
So I packed it away and drove back home again. Luckilly, no damage done to the glider, and it was quite a fun drive anyway
I put my mobile phone in the pic to give some idea of the size (five foot wingspan). I made the glider out of spongy black packing foam and covered it in packing tape - first a layer of that tough tape that includes a fibre glass webbing, and then a top layer of regular (but colourful) box wrapping tape.
