The people at the city assessor's office, in their infinite wisdom have so decided that my property is worth $30,000 more this year than last year even though I've had no renovations done to the house since their appraisal one year prior to this last one.
WHAT THE FLYING FUCK?
Have nip bottles thrown into one's yard suddenly become seen as permanent, sought after, home decor???
Am I now paying for the view of crack hos changing behind my bushes???
Has other's dog's left along the sides of my driveway and tree belt suddenly become a commodity????
Has Crackville become the new hot spot for tourists????
Have high crime areas suddenly become the "in" place to be????
I repeat...
WHAT THE FLYING FUCK??????
Yes, I'll be calling the city assessor's office tomorrow. If I'm not convinced that there's a valid reason why the value of my property has risen $30,000 IN ONE YEAR, I'll be getting an assessor in here and contesting it.
No typo. The amount of the bill matches the new assessment. No worries, I'll be calling tomorrow and I'll be making arrangements to get it reassessed. It costs to do that but it'll cost less than the tax hike if I don't.
