The Welsh (that I've met) call Somerset " the land of perpetual Summer".

I've heard Somerset described as "The land of the Somersetas" - those who come for the Summer and emigrate in Winter.

My favourite is "Zeemere - set" a sort of "Saltlake - land" (Makes Somerton a kind of Saltlake city!)

Either way it's a damned site warmer than Anchorage.... (Thanks Gulfstream)

Some of Somerset - like Holland - is below sea-level. I',ve embellished it with the salt - but for me (I'm ready to be taught) "sea-lake" and "salt-lake" are very close.
