Panic at Luxembourg International Airport!

Luxembourg International Airport was closed down yesterday evening because of a ... wild boar on the runway. They then dispatched a fire truck (!) to take care of it and the truck got stuck in mud and blocked part of the runway.

All incoming planes had to be diverted to other airports.

See, now, in Italy, someone would have immediately gotten to work making pappardelle so the airport crew would have a delicious dinner ready when they returned with the game.

For that they would have to actually kill the cinghiale. Which they didn't as they got stuck.

So the firemen were going to kill it? I rather imagined they'd catch it and release it. In the wilds. Of Luxeumbourg. Okay yeah, thinking it through, that seems unlikely. :giggle:

To tell you the truth, I have no idea why they send the fire brigade in the first place and what they were supposed to do.

This is all very suspicious! I wonder if it wasn't a terrorist boar.
