General quality of thread announcement:

If you put the first post of a flamewar on ignore, all the posts in reply to it will be ignored too. A couple of clicks can make an entire derailment disappear.

Interesting option... :chin:

It's a common colloquialism where I come from. If I was going to make something up, I'd call you a Razzleckunturdhead

You are saying a war might happen.
Correct. It's irrefutable that a war might happen, just as the geometry of space might be Euclidean...that doesn't mean that it has to be (the universe might be a 3-torus).

Again, I'm not saying that such a war will happen. I don't even know if it's likely to happen. But it might happen.
Well space might in fact be the inside of Mickey Mouse's ear. Your suggestion that a war might happen is - probability wise - about on par with the Mickey Mouse Theory. I.e: it's fucking dumb :D

Quote:
I am under no such obligation.
Well shut the fuck up then.

However, I'll be gracious enough to supply a possible cause: the continual escalation of the "culture war" in the US to an actual physical war.
So you do mean a physical war?! You honestly believe it is in some way possible that Christians and atheists will take to the streets, armed to the teeth, and conduct offensive operations against the enemy?

I think I speak for many atheists when I say I don’t like wars. I’m not sure what there would be gained from removing all Christians. I’m not sure what the Christians would think to gain by removing all atheists.

Basically – to reiterate – it’s a dumb suggestion.

Quote:
Not my problem. I'm not claiming that a war will occur, merely that one might occur. But apparently you're too fucking stump dumb to tell the difference between "might" and "will".
So you honestly believe that since you’ve brandished ‘might’ as your qualifier you now don’t need to explain how? If there is a possibility, describe that possibility, otherwise the possibility doesn’t exist.

But of course the real reason you cannot answer such questions is because you don’t have the first damned clue how or why such a war might take place, you just like being overly dramatic with your anti-Christian agenda.

Then you have no fucking idea what I meant by "might".

Unproven assertion.

Quote:
Well shut the fuck up then.
And what if I don't, motherfucker?! What are you going to do about it?

Quote:
So you do mean a physical war?!
Yes, I do.

Quote:

Is it possible? Yes. However, I don't know how probable it is.

Apparently you're too fucking stupid to understand the difference between a conjecture and a prediction.

Quote:

At last, your two brain cells rubbed together, and a thought entered your brain for an instant! You're finally getting it. Yes, my qualifier of "might" indicated that what I was worried about was a fucking conjecture.

Quote:
If there is a possibility, describe that possibility, otherwise the possibility doesn’t exist.
First of all, just because I cannot describe something, that doesn't mean it doesn't exist, you fucking moron.

Secondly, since I am not making a god damn motherfucking prediction about a war, I am under no fucking obligation to provide evidence for a prediction that I didn't fucking make!

Deal with it.

You remind me of the xians who are always railing against "the gay agenda" or "the atheist agenda". Bigots like you make me sick.

Goliath, since I once defended you against someone who wished you death I feel obliged to do the same in this case. In my opinion that kind of comment is completely out of line.

First of all, I didn't wish death upon him. I merely don't care if he dies or not.

However, you have reminded me that it is now possible to ignore admins. And for that, I thank you.

Nope, sorry. No matter how "unusual" your personal interpretation of the English language might be, "go ahead and die" is very clearly and obviously an expression of desire. If you don't want to own up to it that's your prerogative, but I refuse to believe that you don't understand the meaning of the words you used.

Feel free to add me to your ignore list again, Golaith. Merely a request of course, you're under no obligation, and of course neither am I claiming to be able to state what your obligations are and aren't, neither am I claiming to know any state of your mind, yada yada tiny print. I just think it's better this way.

Actually, he said,
Quote:

... which to me is different -- subtly, maybe, but still different -- from "hating". Either way, your posts on page 1 of this thread can't exactly be construed as being friendly to xianity. You take an us v. them stance in those posts, but refuse to actually come out and say that you're anti-Xian. The implication however, cannot be missed.

As an aside: it is kind of cool how one little click on an "Ignore this post" can clear up a whole thread!

But not the posts in reply to the posts in reply to the ignored post (or ingored as one of the info messages has it)?
