Or, quite possibly, he just doesn't trust your judgment enough to be comfortable letting you make important decisions.
But he said something and implied something by it that was quite different.

Facts as given: a number of people who knew her told him that Sarah Palin can be vindictive. Conclusion: Sarah Palin can be vindictive has made enemies.

... he's writing a political character piece.
You may think the requirement to be honest in our dealings with each other isn't as stringent when it comes to politicians and journalists. I disagree. If that isn't what you mean, then what it is you do mean?

You know I'm counting you as a dumbfuck. You are deliberately spreading misinformation in an effort to scare people and incite hatred among other dumbfucks; I'm assuming that you visit other social forums where people might believe your bullshit.

In any event, the US Constitution states that there shall be no religious test for any public office, meaning that, Constitutionally, it does not matter what religion he is anyway. Unless you have determined that by "no religious test" the writers meant "as long as they are Bible believing Christians".

Well that provision isn't really germane here, but it doesn't particularly matter to me what religion he is either. Clinton is a professing Christian, after all.

I see what you did there, you left off the part where I said I assume you visit other social forums. I did not mean this one. I think the members here see what you do, too. So, no, not talking about :ff:.

Hey now, let's all get back on topic: Sarah Palin (duh) is a small-minded, vindictive harpy. Thank you, that is all.

Or perhaps you inferred something quite different?

...who were pretty much unanimous in calling her vindictive. If it were simply a case of her having enemies willing to say mean things about her, we might expect a wider range of negative opinion, from "she's vindictive" to "she's a mean old poopy head". The common theme that runs through all the people interviewed in the linked piece, though, is "vindictive". Sure, people who feel she's stepped on them are going to emphasize her negative traits. They all picked the same trait to focus on, though, which tends to lend credence to the view that she has a vindictive streak.

is it possible that the reporter went up to Wasilla and asked around for people willing to say Palin was vindictive? Sure. It's more likely, however, that he just asked around for people who had dirt on her and reported the dirt they gave him.

... he's writing a political character piece.

What I mean is the candidates have paid professionals to write the fluff pieces. Investigative journalists are supposed to go out and dig up the dirt.

I have to get some work done now, but I'll start with every time you write (pbuh) after Obama's name. And the thread you started today with black kids being inspired into taking responsibility for their lives.

Politicians in general tend to be self-centered (at least he successful ones are). Self-centered people tend to be vindictive (if you're self-centered you think people who harm YOU are evil). Sarah Palin is a (reasonably) successful politician.

Draw what conclusions you will.

Who said anything about being self-centered? As humans, we're all guilty of that to a degree. Small-minded is something else entirely. Ms. Palin (duh) has the intellectual curiosity of a banana.

I did (said something about Palin being self-centered).

Small-minded, uncurious people are no more likely to be vindictive than anyone else; self-centered people are. The article focused on Palin's vindictiveness.

Here's an example from recent Presidents: G.W. Bush and Reagan lacked intellectual curiosity -- but neither was particularly vindictive (by political standards). Nixon, on the other hand, was intellectually curious, but was very self-centered and vindictive.
