NC Board of Elections has McPain up by ~750 votes in NC. Lots of reporting still to come in from Charlotte and heavily liberal Asheville hasn't reported anything yet.

I hope California will be the exception. I voted "no" on it at any rate.

I'll be staying up late to get the info on the propositions, because I already know I voted for a losing candidate (Cynthia McKinney).

He probably can. I want him to win it, though.

Asheville is reporting on the NYTimes site!! With 73% reporting in that county, Obama is at 57% in that county. We need a bit of a bump and NC will be blue--it is neck and neck.

VA ahead 50% to 49% for Obama.

86% precincts reporting. Roughly 30k votes separate them.

Dear John,

I hate to break it to you this way, but I'm seeing someone else now. You may have been right for me at some time in the past, but I've fallen out of love with you because you've changed. I don't know why you felt the need to betray your own values, but you did, and it hurt me deeply. I do hope you find it in yourself to man up and admit that you've lost me tonight. My new man is offering a change for the better and I believe him to be sincere. I used to believe that of you, but no more. Please use this experience to do some serious introspection. You probably should retire gracefully. This is just some kind advice from an old friend and now former lover.

Sincerely,
The United States of America

So far, my predictions for political science class are correct, but nothing too hard has happened yet.

I gave McCain Indiana, Montana, and Missouri, Obama gets Florida, North Carolina, Nevada, Colorado, and Virginia. We'll see.

I also expected 59 Senate seats (No Chambliss).

CNN went through, after the Ohio call, and gave McCain every single state except California, Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii. And He still only had 266.

It's over.
