And if, as I suspect, you're actually really hawt IRL, send me the X-Tube link. Kthx.
I don't know what that means ... so I guess your suspicion is not well founded. My point is that there is enough concern that someone should look into the situation. The answer to your question is - No, they are not subject to retention ballots:
Oklahoma Supreme Court - Appointed by Governor, confirmed by senate;
Oklahoma Appellate Courts - Appointed by Governor, confirmed by senate, subject to a retention vote every 6 years;
Oklahoma District Court Judges - Elected every four years;
Oklahoma Special District Judges - Appointed by majority of District Judges in that district for an indefinite term.
Also, looking at the who's been online list - Josephine are you also Josephine the Lawyer?

I'm guessing that even if you were as hawt as Sarah Palin, you would be about as sexually attractive to Uthgar. ynut doesn't swing that way, he's hot for beyelzu.

Your own post shows you are incorrect in principle. As you have stated, Oklahoma District Judges are up for election periodically, either a retention election or standard election they have to file for. Campaign against them, buy some billboard space, whatever, but posting here in this forum will likely do little in that regard, only a very few FFers are registered to vote in Oklahoma. And even fewer give a rat's ass.
Oklahoma is the source of some major suckage that keeps Texas from sliding off into the Gulf of Mexico. Oklahoma is kind of the 'taint' of the South Central States, tain't Texass, tain't Kansass, but it is right between them.
We got suckered into coming here, now we can't leave. It's that whole time-space Oklahomium thing. I'm not sure, but I think we need a Delorean, a clock tower, and 1.21 Gigawatts to escape.
I totally saw a Delorean in the parking lot of trader Joe's about a month ago. I'd forgotten about how cool they were. Also about how the already horrid economy of Belfast took a hit when the company went under.
Why do I get the feeling that Josephine has some personal issues with Judge Wright?

Paternity suit? He is a Family Court judge isn't he?

But... we've got skiing, and... mountains and... Well, I like it here, if mostly for the scenery.
I liked it for the same reasons too and within a few months of arrival in Oklahoma wondered why the hell I left Utah. I've tried to get my old job back several times. There is an opening there now that I'm pondering applying for again. Maybe 3rd time is the charm?
