Re: Women's Rights, Equality and Politics
Oh, me and <edit> (D. Scarlatti) were chat buddies for awhile. I really loved the way he yacked behind my back way back when at HH as a friend notified me, I just love how he pulls superiority on everybody else but can't really defend it when it's used on him.
Seriously, I remember him figuring I'm a complete idiot because I made an arguement that was based on a different definition of eternal than the one he used.
It's all so lovely.

Do I, no. Did I say that I did?
Seebs for instance, has referenced that people will quote from and link him to HH, no?

Well, you implied it. It is a violation of the rules to allow a non member access to the site or to quote or link to posts inside the site.

And that means what and those rules mean what?
Do you really think that you are protected at a all in a forum out there in cyberspace by a thin little thread of admission dependent upon non-theism?
Seriously? And it would be the fault of the members or the administration to think that really protects you from anything?
Maybe it's my fault for reading what was provided for me, for looking at pictures that were presented to me, etc.?

Funny you should ask. No, I don't.
Evidently my account was deactivated several months ago and the current administrator (also a member here) has very recently categorically denied my request for reactivation. I'll quote him: "No." It remains to be seen whether said administrator has an interest in whether the sacred rules of his forum have been breached, and by whom.
Since I have little to no idea what the post at the top of this page is referring to, and its author, given the opportunity to explain privately has thus far refused to do so (but in the interim appears to have found the time to post several more erratic missives here), apparently an outspoken Catholic has greater access to the HH forum (where theists are not allowed) than this atheist (whose memberships are encouraged).
How's that for irony.

I don't have access to anything and I don't want it either just so's you know and it's been over a year the situation I'm speaking of. Just was noting that we're not complete strangers yipping at each other and I have issues with your "style". No really, eternal means "boundless."

Fascinating, all these comments about the HH. I will be back soon enough to correct some misapprehensions and to provide some information in reply to these various charges.
This post was just to collect everything in preparation.

Re: HH Rumors
Well, to be honest, I'm still not sure why Sweetie found it necessary to post about this in the feminism thread at all given that Scarlatti had only said this up to that point.
Oh well, anyhoo, hopefully it'll all get worked out here.

HH admin.

IOW, his stated reasons why D. Scarlatti wanted reactivation were contravening all the reasons why the HH exists and a few of its rules.
However, ---> D. Scarlatti, we HH admin + mods/Oversight are trying to see if we can actually provide the information you wanted anyway; that is, fulfilling your real request in line with the charges made by Sweetie here.

Hello Sweetie,

HH rules are not "sacred"; merely that anyone who wishes to participate in the HH is required to observe the rules, at least in the spirit if not in full letter of the law (we at HH are not terribly formal). No doubt with your previous experience as a moderator on yet another board, you will of course understand the rather commonsensical need for maintaining the reasons for existence of anything at all.
As for actually breaching confidentiality, a major rule of HH, we take a great deal of interest in anyone breaching that.

Re: HH Rumors
--> To Sweetie and D.Scarlatti
Hello Sweetie and D.Scarlatti,
HH admin and the mods/oversight group have considered your comments, and come to a preliminary decision, which is however still being discussed by our group.
We refuse to make any information public, or to provide such information to anyone at all who is not an active HH member, including to D.Scarlatti, unless we have the full prior permission of both Sweetie and D.Scarlatti, since otherwise they would then constitute an inappropriate revealing of personal information of both parties.
So if you want the information posted, we would need express permission from both of you.

Can I just confirm that we're talking about an internet chat room and not some upper echelon chapter of MI5?

No, you can't. WTF do chat rooms have to do with it ? Oh, don't even bother.
I shall make the rule clearer that in HH a requisite is that people be adults both literally and metaphorically. Thanks for the inspiration.

OK, I will take that as your final decision then.
In that case, no-one gets the information, not Scarlatti, not anyone outside HH.
