No, but if you read the wiki entry for Troll (Internet) it might stop you from constantly using the label as a catch-all for 'people that disagree with me' instead of what it actually means.
I doubt it, but it's worth a shot, don't you think?

No, you need to deal either fire or acid damage to stop trolls.
I was hoping, however, that it might stop you from making obviously false assertions. Blinding, by definition, is about keeping certain information from certain participants in an experiment.
Who, in your theoretical blind studies, would be prevented from knowing what information?

Trolls go into a topic and post something to garner attention to themselves. They don't add anything to the topic.
When trolls are in a group, just the applause from the other trolls is enough for them. They bask in their own little limelight.
It's cute.
Doesn't add a bit to science, but hell, it's fun, right?

Let's add to the science, then. How would you design a blind climate study? What information would you withhold from which participants?

You might want to follow you own advice. Blinding, by definition, involves preventing some of the participants in an experiment from having access to some of the information -- if nothing else, it's about preventing those who are doing the analyses from knowing the source(s) of data being analyzed.
Hint: That's why it's called blinding.
But then, I'm only a professional scientist. What would I know about blinding?

Obviously nothing, TLR, 'cause otherwise you'd see how awesome F-X's idea of 'blinding' climate research is. Because, you know, blinding = science!

I'm loathe to quote Wikipedia, because it's hardly the most authoritative of sources, but: "A blind or blinded experiment is a scientific experiment where some of the persons involved are prevented from knowing certain information that might lead to conscious or unconscious bias on their part, invalidating the results."
(My emphasis.)
Should I break out some of my Experimental Design textbooks?
