I don't see how it is so great of advice, but I don't see a reason to lynch him for it either.
Maybe start lynch voting for inactivity and work from there?

I agree it is too easy for the quiet folks to hide, especially with so many players like we have in this game.
So CP, Kael and Slim are the quietest.

I realize this post is, like, way old comparatively speaking, but I couldn't help wondering about it all night.
Gandalf getting the ring and becoming the new Lord of Middle Earth might not end up very good for us poor hobbits, but I hear Lord of Middle Earth is a pretty cushy job. Basically, I see no reason why, if the Nazgul gain extra power when they wield the ring, power roles and even hobbits wouldn't. I hear it makes you invisible, after all. Adam has already stated that acquiring the ring does NOT win the game for the Nazgul, which implies the win conditions are probably the more typical 'kill most of the town' and the ring is a fun bit of extra power-play.
All this rambling is moot, of course, if Nightson speaks from having more information than this humble hobbit. Which he would if he were a power role himself. Or if he were scum. Obviously if he's a power role we don't want him outing himself yet or those wicked Nazgul will off him for sure, but to my untrained eye he's looking pretty suspicious right now.
My mayoral vote is still on Demi, but I'm going to go ahead and throw in my lynch vote.
Vote: Nightson

I'm going to get lynched for being quiet again, aren't I? Maybe not Day 1, but I can feel it coming.

I also remember CP participating a bit before. Slim not so much. That's why I chose to vote for him.

Re: LotR Mafia - Game Thread
bey, I posted that because I think he's scum. That he's a special is a possibility I'm well aware of, hence my mentioning it, but I wouldn't have said anything if I wasn't betting he was scum instead of special.
Of course I could be wrong about it, but sitting here in silence hasn't served me terribly well in the past, so I thought I'd actually voice my suspicions.

I just wish you had said hey, I think he is scum and left no mention that he could be special, because if you are wrong about him being scum, and really I don't get a scum vibe from him. He seems involved and protown.

Look at the part he said that you quoted. If he was special, he wouldn't say that at the same time as campaigning for mayor. If he was scum, he really wouldn't say that.

Are you voting for Kael because you think he's scum, or to punish him for making a move you don't agree with? Or some third option? Sincere question.

Re: LotR Mafia - Game Thread
I've got some stuff to say and will be back after tea to say it.
For now:
Nightson seems protown to me. I never used to get the whole 'let's not talk about X' before either, but sometimes it really is the best course of action. Any talk that could pin down or point strongly to specials for instance, isn't good for the town.
I'm not saying we can't talk about who should be mayor, but I do think he (and bey) have a point.
I don't mind Demi being mayor, so vote Demi

If Nightson is a power role, that's what you call a breadcrumb. It should have been more subtle, but it wasn't. Either way, you don't post about it. You don't post about it... Unless you're trying to get him lynched so the mob gets two for one.

There is literally no other POSSIBLE motivation for extracting a breadcrumb and shining a big fucking floodlight on it.

Also, if I'm a bit behind or a bit groggy... I am sick out of my fucking mind, and it's all I can do to manage this and the 30 chess games I'm playing (I entered a USCF correspondence tournament.)
Somewhere during the lovely family visit, a rather nasty virus decided to hit us all, and I've had near-debilitating abdominal pain for two days. It'll go away. In the meantime bear with me.
Either way, I stand by what I said. You don't flash crumbs like that ever. Ever.

Playing devil's advocate (or Kael's advocate, I guess), but literally one POSSIBLE motivation for posting is that he routinely gets lynched for not posting what's on his mind and/or anything at all. It's possible he didn't know about the breadcrumb, I certainly didn't. I'm not that subtle.
