I was trying to make a pun :blush:

On University Challenge (American version: College Bowl) there is always a starter question where individuals have to buzz to answer (no conferring allowed). The starter questions are worth ten points.

If the individual gets the answer right, there are a series of follow-up questions for the whole team - these with no buzzing and conferring is expected. There are three of these questions, worth five points each

"Your starter for ten..." became the programme's catch phrase, hence my lame post.
