Default Re: Is Karl Rove Going Down?

I'll look around and see if I can scrounge up a source. I read lots of stuff, but am notorious for not making notes. Sometimes if I see something I want to post somewhere right away, I'll stick the page in my favorites, sometimes not. This is one of those not situations, it may have been something I heard on the radio, either NPR or Air America. I also tend to stay out of political fora because all it does is raise my blood pressure to no avail, but this sort of thing give me hope that these freedom-hating evildoers will be taken down.

I think perjury and obstruction of justice are last resort charges, kind of like Al Capone and tax evasion, they'll use them if that's all they can get. Personally, I think they've got more than that, but they want to make sure all their ducks are lined up before frog-marching Rove&Co. out of the White House in orange jumpsuits and handcuffs.

Did this issue just totally die out? I went on vacation and came back to see that, as far as I can tell.....same ol' same ol'....Bush and his people get away with anything, and just bluster and block any investigation until people somehow lose interest.

Please tell me I'm imagining things and I just missed the news story where it was announced that Karl Rove is now in prison.

Sorry, Penni. As far as I know he's still free as a bird. Still, it's not all bad/no news: justice department lawyer and reputed "junkyard dog" David Margolis has been appointed to surpervise the special prosecutor.

The administration was angling for somebody more in the shill category, and Margolis is definitely not that.

The MSMedia: All Sheehan all the time. I wonder what's going on with this investigation?
