Turns out in this instance two chatbots set up to converse with each other began arguing.
Theory is, they have learned through interactions with humans online and are replicating common interactions they have with humans.

That is the stupidest thing I have seen today, and I saw the 9/11 tenth anniversary Hagar the Horrible.
It's not even the first time someone has done that, animated it, and put it on YouTube.
What the shit? And why are they interviewing those two goobers and having them theorize about what's going on instead of, say, interviewing someone who knows?

Yeah, not stellar; the argument even seems to be more of a mild disagreement.
Mr. Pea, I'm more entertained by the idea that you read the comics section in a newspaper, and that's where you saw Hägar the Horrible. Or did you come across it somewhere else?
When I think some anecdote I'm telling at work is lacking punch, I'll tell the person that later if they like I can describe to them some Marmaduke cartoons.

It is worse than reading the comics. I meta-read comics, by reading blogs about the comics. As such, I somehow saw an ADVANCE ONLINE version of some of tomorrow's comics, which are like all patriotic themed and shit for the big upcoming 9-11 celebrations.
And I would appreciate those explanations, as the regular site went dormant and the new one is a hot mess.

I must have heard of that site some time ago and then forgotten all about it. As actually reading Marmaduke would involve effort, and looking at the sad, sad train wreck known as the comics section in a local dying daily paper, I avoid this like the plague. Thank Omnipotent Invisible Sky Wizard that Judge Parker is in the dwindling and anemic classifieds section!
Because the range of humor is massively limited, I usually just go thematic. "Marmaduke is a very large dog. Because he is large, his impact and activities differ from those of small dogs. He exerts his will much more effectively, the way living with a bear might be at best a cautious negotiation and ceding of authority in numerous situations. Though Marmaduke is not known to eat humans. Sometimes Marmaduke gets into absurd or unlikely scenarios."
As to 9-11 honored through daily comics, I have been doing my best to avoid any more exposure to 9-11 remembrance and retrospectives. I already watched Herman Cain's video where he plays horror porn, whores tragedy, and sings "God Bless America" over it all.

I am ashamed to admit that I am also a secret meta-comic-following hipster like Mr. Pea. In addition to Mr. Mathlete's excellent and accurate explanations of the goings on in Marmaduke, I regularly read both The Comics Curmudgeon and This Week in Milford.
