Re: Crumb's Game Thread
I'd like to play most any of those, Clue would be my top choice. You've been talking about doing a Scribblish game, are you still considering trying that? I bet you could do a variety of games like Time's Up, Apple's to Apple's, Scattergories, Boxers or Briefs, and w/ this crowd I think a Balderdash game would be fun.
I know nothing about the simpsons or Guess Who, but would that Simpson grid work? It seems like a couple of characters would be too easy, ex: you only have 2 non-humans. Can you ask anything as long as it is y/n?

I'd like to another Clue, but since there is interest in Guess Who from a lot of you I think I will try that first. For the guess who there will be a custom random board for each duel pulled from all the Simpsons characters.
There are other games we could try, too. But one at a time.

Funny. I'm not a scrabble fan though, and I don't want anyone to eat any of the cats.

Re: Crumb's Game Thread
My head was hurting just thinking of having to table the board.
You could do alphacats boggle though. I boggle.

Does that mean you aren't interested? I think it would be lots of fun. I will think on it for awhile and see if I can make it work and host something, but I think I'll need yours and/or liv's help trying to figure out the set-up.

Re: Crumb's Game Thread
The trickiest part would be recreating the board and having the players be aware of the double and triple word scores that they can play off of- no small feat. Also, players would need to be able to lay the tiles down themselves in the table without mucking it up, or describe to the GM where they wanted them, though that would slow down turns.
Unless you used some kind of algebraic notation system off a jpg of a board. Kinda like Crumb did for Scotland yard/Clue but more chess like.

Re: Crumb's Game Thread
It doesn't have to be conventional, but I would like to see if we could figure a board out. If not, just handing out letters with assigned point values in PMs could work. Though strategy would be pretty null and void without something to play on and not really Scrabble.

I am not really interested in running scrabble, but I could help you out. I think the board would be a pretty easy table with the pink/blue/etc burst symbols to represent the special squares, just need to make the square images the same size as the cat letters (hell you could make cats holding them) so that the table stayed square.

Re: Crumb's Game Thread
One problem is that the cat tiles don't have points on them.

I think this is the most logical and playable board I can do, made so players can find their way around the BBCODE.
Also, I appreciate the constructive criticism, Bort. Is this better?
