I mean these pathetic Republican slimeballs keep with their recounts like dirty Republicans always do to try and drag things out as long as they can...

You can consede instead of trying to drag things out?
Isn't that what you pathetic tards were trying to accuse Allen of what he was going to do in VA?
Oh you like to forget that...

Oh, damn, I thought this thread was about an idiotic strawman you dreamed up regarding Bush/Gore, rather than an idiotic strawman you dreamed up regarding Allen. My mistake.

That's cute because many of the morons on here were going on about how the Republicans were going to bring in the laywers and drag things out as far as they could, but at least now we get to see who is dragging things out instead of simply admitting defeat.

Equally stunning was how close grass-roots candidate Larry Kissell ran to wealthy GOP incumbent Robin Hayes in the 8th District. With all precincts reporting, the four-term veteran led by just 468 votes out of more than 120,000 cast, setting the stage for a likely recount.

Hmmm what?
Where did anyone suggest that Allen would be a slimeball for getting a recount?
I mean, perhaps some people hoped that he wouldn't drag it out, but that's not the same thing as accusing him of doing something wrong by wanting a recount. In fact, there was a recount, and nobody said shit about Allen for it.
Maybe if he had called out a cadre of lawyers to fight a Webb win no matter what, then he would be. But if I recall correctly, it was Bush who did that in the 2000 elections so that he could prevent recounts.
There is nothing wrong with a recount on close races. Americans deserve the correct vote count. If a candidate decides against calling for a recount that is the candidate's perogative.

Dems hit the FL State courts to enable recounts, Repubs went to the federal courts to stop 'em. Because the GOP is, uh, devoted to State power and local control or something.
OK, OK, abs is talking about me. He must have been hiding in the bushes the other day when i made a crack to a friend about those sore loser Republicans and their demanding that every vote count and how an Allen recount in VA would lead to a constitutional crisis and how I hoped the federal government would step in to protect Webb's 14th Amendment right to win an election, and the great state of Virginia's right (b/c states' rights are paramount!) to have a Democratic senator and whatnot.
I thought it might help if I spoke abs' native language...
