The war at home, that is.

One more reason for me to hope against hope that a planet-killer is hurtling our way and very close by.

Yeah, I read that.

I am as cynical as the next bastard and all but I still have a very hard time picturing US soldiers carrying out a coup at home (anywhere else on the planet I have no trouble at all picturing).

Rome probably felt the same way at some point, too. Not saying we're there, but the dominoes are being stacked, that's for damned sure.
