Sad Arr, where's the party?

I got the Candidate List for the European Elections today. It has 17 parties, some of which are actually parties represented in the Dutch and/or European parliament. Some have names like Newropeans, Solidara or Libertas that give you a vague idea of what they stand for and/or sound contrived.

But!

Where's the Pirate Party?

I wish we had a multi-party system here. We don't have any groovy single issue (OK, cluster of related issues) parties. :sadcheer:

Oh, we have lots of them, these are the ones represented now: List of political parties in the Netherlands - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

But I still would have liked to vote for the pirates. I guess they are not on the candidate lists anywhere outside Sweden though...

ETA: Wtf? It turns out there is even a Libertarian Party here, according to that Wikipedia.

I guess ours would be similar if all the lobbies became actual political parties. The way we allocate votes and determine winners won't let that happen though.

Yeah, we don't have voting districts.

I guess we are a voting district for the European Elections though.

Is there a shortage of new rope in Europe?
