Ben Affleck Autograph Not Worth $1

With no money or credit cards on him, motion picture star Ben Affleck dashed into a convenience store to get some baby wipes. He offered to sell his autograph for a dollar but got no takers, the same result as when he tried to sell his Red Sox baseball cap for $20. Finally, another shopper bought baby wipes for him and was rewarded with a kiss.

How over are your 15 minutes of fame when you can't sell your autograph for one single dollar?

If I tried to buy something without cash or credit cards, I'd get thrown out of the shop, why should it be any different for him?

(But thanks to Mario in the local chippie who let me off a few pence when I realised I was a couple of coins short of the price of my potato fritters and bottle of Sunny Delight one night).

It shouldn't. Sometime, just as a joke, I'm going to try to pay for something with a piece of paper with my name on it. Of course I'll have money with me to really pay for whatever it is.

Yes, he is the Ben half of the two-headed Hollywood monster known as Bennifer.

I was thinking about Ben not having any money or credit cards on his person. How disconnected from everyday life he must be. I can't imagine going out without my wallet, which may not contain any cash on any specific day, but always contains at least one useable credit card. It's like George H.W. Bush not knowing there were laser price code scanners at supermarkets. Total disconnect.
