That may have been the best episode of the season aside from
Seriously. It owned.
An odd thing that stuck out to me: Daring Doo being essentially a palette swap of Rainbow Dash, which sort of reinforced the idea of how good writing can transport you into a story. Subtle but very well done.

In my browse around the internets, I follow a link to the Bronyland Pony Personality. (BECAUSE I WANT TO KNOW WHO I AM ANYMORE OKAY SHUT UP) And there are a billion and a half questions to go through before you find out what pony or ponies you are most like. My favorite question was the last one.
They ask: Rock, Paper or Scissors? The answers to choose from are obviously, Rock, Paper or Scissors. But when you click Rock, it changes:
So, who am I?
My real life persona is a lot less verbose, so I'm okay with those results. I'm a little bit of all ponies, but extra amounts of those three, in positive and negative connotations.

Here's mine. Some of the questions didn't have an answer I really liked, like favorite season. I don't really have one, I like all of them a bit, and I like the change from one to another. They also didn't have the Superhero power that is always my first choice, telekinesis. Probably because unicorns get that anyway, which is why I chose unicorns as my favorite kind of pony, but still...

Loved today's episode.
"Strangely obsessed with tubs of jelly," made me laugh so hard I had to pause it or miss the rest of the song.
Everyone is already talking about ponies shipping ponies etc. There were several things I liked about how they handled it though. First, it was funny to see a "parent trap" type story work. Almost always it is an exercise in futility on the kids' part, their plans spectacularly fail, but somehow despite their efforts and the disasters that happen "love finds a way." It has become seriously predictable. So I was super surprised to see the love potion McGuffin used. The results were still disastrous, and the ponies' reaction to it actually working was hilarious. It was a nice fresh spin on an old story line.
But there is also some seriously happy toy news:
Our princess is now white, (I knew it would happen!) Trixie, DJ Pon-3, Glow in the dark Zecora, and NIGHTMARE MOON. So much win in that picture! I am so excited!

I was surprised by my results.
The extended description suits me a little better if you follow the link, though I don't like being the center of attention much at all. Perhaps that has more to do with me having Twilight as my moon sign or something. The perfectionism is spot on though and I never really thought about that in Rarity's terms before.
Oh, and another little Easter egg in the quiz: If you click on Sea Ponies as your favorite it will display, "Shoobedoo shoo-shoo-be doo!" and it gets bigger and bigger and bigger until it takes up the whole width of the screen.

ETA: In lovingly staring at that photo for a few minutes to examine the proportions they used, (DON"T JUDGE ME! They have different faces okay?) I realized something. WTF is up with his mane? That is not nylon or mylar by my eyes. It looks like, , troll hair.
