Unless you want to hang your whole argument on "dove" and "non-interventionist"/"isolationist" being totally distinct terms, this isn't really that hard to find examples of.
But sure, I'll concede that "dove" is not totally synonymous. I was going for something punchier than "non-interventionist".

Trump, by contrast, has indicated that he’s not so interested in gallivanting abroad to find dragons to slay.

So even though [Trump] is a clown and an idiot and mentally unstable, there is this coherent philosophy that is noninterventionist, isolationist, and uber-nationalistic.
Of course, people ostensibly on the left weren't the only ones arguing this:
MoDo imagines herself to be center-left, but I am fine with saying she's wrong about that.
Less clear where some others stand (I don't know Jenkins):
Hell, as recently as less than two months ago, Watser was (presumably approvingly) citing articles that assume the existence of Trump's anti-war or non-interventionist "instincts".

Seems a fair implication of the constant discussion of how Hillary was the candidate of the neocons and was a neocon and the neocons were opposing Trump and all that. Which I heard plenty of from people on the left.
And the fact that neoconservatism is interventionist, and so saying that Trump had a non-interventionist ideology kinda implies that he's not a neocon.

Sorry dudes, but I am still trying to juggle my relief that Clinton is not going to start WW3 over a no-fly zone in Syria with my sadness about what happens inside the US. But as for 'the world', I am still not sure we are off worse with Trump.
But "preferring" Trump because of "Killary's warmongering" is much easier to find than people calling him a dove, actually.

And in the very last line [in Jill Stein's tweet], there you have it. "Trump" does not want to go to war with Russia. I think we can all agree with that. And if you're focused primarily on Russia, maybe Trump is the dove.
A very big orange dove shitting all over his country as well as others. Just not Russia.
Trump on China trade, and the Middle East, and other things: "Our past presidents should never have allowed this to happen. This has been many, many years. It’s sort of like the Middle East. How did that happen? And other things. How did all of these things happen?" pic.twitter.com/AALsUNi6U0
Thank Mike Pence and evangelicals for Donald Trump and Stormy Daniels. As they force their religion on everyone but their allies, the hypocrisy has never been more naked.

This is an important story that is being reported, unfortunately, through some *terrible* journalistic writing that fails to *clearly* explain to Americans where the illegality lies and *why* this all matters. This is a textbook case of complex facts obstructing clear reporting. https://t.co/pXkwBtXkMW
Documents filed by special counsel prosecutors reveal that former Trump deputy campaign chairman Richard Gates was knowingly working with an individual with ties to Russian intelligence during the campaign, CBS News' Paula Reid reports. In a late Tuesday court filing late, the special counsel alleged that this unnamed person worked for one of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort’s companies and was in touch with Gates in September and October 2016. This individual is also described as being “pertinent to the investigation.”

Trump on Democrats: “They want people to come in from the border, and they want, I guess, I can’t imagine they want, but certainly drugs are flowing across borders.”

For some reason, I decided to watch the last episode of the Sopranos. I've been meaning to do it for a while, because at the time it first came out, I hated it, and I felt like it was time to challenge that long held notion. Anyway, had a couple of nice surprises. First, I totally changed my mind and thought it was a brilliant ending to the series. Secondly, the forgotten reference to Trump. The mob boss' son, AJ, is defending himself to his dad, because his dad is hassling him about his life goals, and AJ says something like "my life goal is to join the Army, learn to fly helicopters, and then I'll get out and fly for Trump or something." Keep in mind, this was 2007, when we still openly acknowledged Trump's ties to the mafia and thought it was hilarious.

...does not include the Fake Washington Post, which is used as a “lobbyist” and should so REGISTER. If the P.O. “increased its parcel rates, Amazon’s shipping costs would rise by $2.6 Billion.” This Post Office scam must stop. Amazon must pay real costs (and taxes) now!
.@PeteWilliamsNBC just reported on MSNBC that Alexander van der Zwaan has just been sentenced to 30 days in jail and a $20,000 fine for lying to Mueller's investigators. van der Zwaan is the first person to be sentenced in the Mueller probe.
Somewhat unusual for a conviction for lying to feds (18 USC 1001) with a Sentencing Guideline range of 0-6 months. Probation or at least home detention would be more typical for a first-time offender. Will be interested to hear judge's rationale. /1 https://t.co/41Z8n3s5Xx

And a bit of a theory thrad, involving Wal Mart, what praising a demagogue does for your business, etc:
A short thread on this Trump tweet, with a financial theory.
Interestingly, the “fully tax-paying retailers that are closing stores” is probably a reference to Wal-Mart, which said in January it would close around 60 of its Sam’s Clubs stores. pic.twitter.com/NoWBydNMfk
While I know 'wag the dog' normally refers to the ignorant masses who think they are in control I wonder how far are we away from saving the world by creating a blockbuster fake war to present to Trump while the adults talk.
Summary of Trump's "tax reform" event: - Endorsed his 2015 comment about immigrants bringing rape - Repeated his lie about millions of Californians committing voter fraud - Repeated his lie about the visa lottery - Repeated lies about taxes, trade - Said there's no rush on NAFTA
