Exactly what is wrong with cut and paste? Would it count if I typed them in? I wouldn't talk about "inane" if I were you! :D And you also appear to be a member of the Pussified Third-Person User Wusses.

Sir Harry Sutherland Wightman Lawson (5 March 1875 - 12 June 1952), Australian politician, was the 27th Premier of Victoria. He was born in Dunolly, the son of a Presbyterian clergyman of Scottish descent. He was educated at a local school and then Scotch College in Melbourne. He was a noted footballer, playing for Castlemaine. He studied law with a Melbourne law firm and was called to the bar. He then went into practice in Castlemaine, and was elected to the town council, serving as mayor in 1905. In 1901 he married Olive Horwood, with whom he had eight children.

The (obvious) point, motivated by someone speculating elsewhere that I must be a hippy because I am a vegan, was to show that many types of people are vegetarians. Flew over your head at Mach 3, eh? OK, from now on, I promise to add a "trainer wheel" intro just for you!

Oh yeah, I guess I missed that. I was too busy being all wowed by the cutting and the pasting. I can't get over how cool it is!

South Kenton station is both a London Underground station and a railway station. It is at Kenton and is on the Bakerloo Line, between North Wembley and Kenton. It is in zone 4.

This is a new weirdness - someone irritated by information transmittal! How about electricity flowing thru wires, does that piss you off? Cars going down streets - offensive? Oil flowing in pipelines - insulting? Whew! :kookoo:

Whoa there, I'm not irritated!

Lockheed Martin Corporation, an advanced technology company, was formed in March 1995 with the merger of two of the world's premier technology companies, Lockheed Corporation and Martin Marietta Corporation.

Headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, Lockheed Martin employs about 130,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture and integration of advanced technology systems, products and services.

I was just expressing my profound admiration for this brilliant thing. It is very mind-numbingboggling.

On a forum you basically sign your name to everything you post, so if a source isn't given it is considered to be your work. You provided no source. Unless you wrote that page, you plagiarized. Idiot!

You couldn't even be bothered to cut that list down to cut out the nobodies?

I mean, does anyone give a shit about the drummer from Poison?

HEY - maybe you could cut down that list to include the people who share the same political sympathies with you!

I wonder how many you'd end up with. Not many...

All I've got to say is thanks for keeping the demand, and thence the price, down on meat products.

That's appreciated. Keep up the good work!

Aw, crap... Then you just get into the whole issue of who's a nobody and who's not.

I mean, somebody here might know who Laura Nashman is, but I don't. Just because she's a nobody to me, does that mean she should be excluded? Maybe alphasquid knows lotsa nobodies.

You're stupidly reinforcing my point - the list demonstrates to lard-clogged-cranium speciesists with even a little remnant IQ (possibly that would exclude you) that a wide range of people, including people of various political positions and even "nobodies" are vegetarians.

Yes, but there's no point to including nobodies on the list - first of all, you could just be making them up, secondly, they don't give us much information about their profession, and thirdly, nobody on here disputes the fact that many non-famous people are vegetarians. In fact, nobody was disputing anything about vegetarians.

Except when I was saying that vegetarians tend to be left-leaning... i.e. that "speciesists" are more likely to be right-wingers than the other way around. But that's all I really say about them - they certainly can be from all walks of life and so forth. Although I would imagine that less of them would be chicken farmers, or butchers, etc. and other such obvious things. A tendency cannot be disproven by simply listing some people who don't follow the pattern however.

And I think if you cut down that list to only include people who were "right-wing" it would demonstrate that quite easily. But of course, not all of the people on their are politically active, so for comparison you could make a list of left-wingers too.

I'll help you: Moby, Alice Walker, Cesar Chavez, John Lennon, Albert Einstein, Ian McKellan and Chelsea Clinton are not your friends.

Now chop chop, hop to it.

You have poor reading skills. You also never said the post I just quoted was yours, it is assumed unless you cite a source. If you don't cite a source (especially with copyrighted material) and you use the material it is Plagiarism. Doing so can put the forum owners in jeopardy of being sued.

Everyone slips up every once in awhile and I doubt the Vegetarian site will sue but maybe next time you can cite your source, especially when it makes up your entire post.

K?
thanks, bye.

On a side, what do you think about meat eating plants?

Meat-eating plants need to eat animals for survival, and don't have the cognitive ability to evaluate the morality of their actions anyhow. Humans don't strictly need to eat meat to survive with modern technology and so forth, and we have the ability to evaluate the effects of our actions.

I mean, I'm not a vegetarian, but honestly, that's very easy to shoot down.

What I wonder is if it is acceptable to him, to eat roadkill. The animal was healthy at time of death, so it should be safe to eat. It will be dead regardless of whether you eat it and you didn't intend to kill it beforehand.

I assume alphamale drives a car (probably an SUV even) so he will probably kill some animals with his car at some point. Is that an acceptable sacrifice to you? Or do you do anything to try to prevent there from being any animals slaughtered by your vehicle? How do you determine what is an acceptable sacrifice of animal life, and what is not? Why would, for example, driving your own car and probably killing some animals at some point be acceptable while eating some of the same animals would not be acceptable?

Which animals are acceptable to eat? Any of them? For example, is it acceptable to eat insects? If not, how do you reconcile that with the use of pesticides to protect the crops of plants that you DO eat?

And so on - those are I think tougher questions to answer. Especially given his expressed opinions towards environmentalists. I doubt alphamale will make any substantive response to them tho.

Come on now, alf - don't you ever want to prove me wrong?
