We've disabled the new poll features until we can sort the bugs. It seems the "write-in" and "change your vote" add-ons were causing votes to disappear.

At long last, we now have a "disable smilies" feature.

Just go to Edit Options and select 'Disable' under "Select 'Disable' to disable smilies (emoticons) in posts."

Unfortunately it doesn't work for smilies anywhere but posts (like sigs) but I'm still looking for a solution to that.

Sorry it took so long but it turned out to be more challenging than I expected.

...and now it works on the navbar, too.

Some of the other new features we've added this past week include:

• Automatic Media Embedding
• PM enhancements
• The 'table' bbcode
• vbGoogleMap
• Freethought Mobile theme

In addition, we've moved the large PayPal Donate icons from the bottom of every page to a separate page of their own and added a "Donate" link to the navigation bar at the top of the forum, in the hopes of slightly improving on the page load times. We will be adding a link to the Cafepress store there as well, and any other ideas we come up with for fundraising.

Oh yeah, we also disabled the guest statistics on the forum home. I know some of you will really miss knowing exactly how many Yahoo! Slurp spiders came by each day, but every little reduction helps.

ETA: Oh and btw, if any HTML/CSS pros know how to make that "Search Titles Only" align with the checkbox I'd be forever in your debt.

I would like to see a change the size of our pic files we can upload in our profiles. I wanted to put up this and it resized it and the animation quit. And it goes so well with ff theme.

Stick a label or span tag around the text if there isn't one already, and try playing around with the vertical-align CSS property (here).
