I think once gas hits $6 a gallon, bioregional thinking about consumption at least will become much more mainstream. Food not Lawns! I might even be willing to give in to Qingdai on the whole egg-layer thing (damn noisy squawkers!) and go urban agrarian. But hey, Caligulette, an international sounds good to me. Good point regarding the capitalist monoculture.

Just playing with you...we count only marginally more than you do. I can has a single national primary day? plskthx.
I don't care whether we have one primary or 52, but can't we squeeze it all in to one or two months? This campaigning on and on, for years, is interminably annoying.
Okay- you're so concerned about us not counting- what about the delegates (and a super delegate, though I hold no love for him) who -pre-primary- said who they plan to vote for in the November election in their delegate and super-d roles? Apparently the citizens of Oregon's voices do not count there, either.
Random tangent: I had an argument with my mom over the weekend, because she's pissed that her Congressperson is supporting Obama, even though Indiana went for Clinton. For some reason, the facts that a) he is not bound to vote with the state in any case and b) even if he were going to vote with the people he represents out of solidarity or fairness, his (and my mom's) district went for Obama anyway.
